Game 118 Preview
Runelvyz Hernandez, R, 2-7, 8.15 ERA for the Kansas City Royals
vs,
Javier "I'm Getting Better At This" Vazquez, R, 11-6, 5.13 ERA for the Chicago (still) White (hot) Sox
I was able to catch a little of Boers & Bernstein (The SCORE AM 670 here in Chicago) yesterday, and I'm gonna paraphrase something they said, "If Fatboy (Hernandez) gets out of the first without giving up 12 runs, the Royals will consider that a victory."
And with that, have you seen Hernandez's ERA? Oh, and in his last two starts against the Sox: 7.2 innings, 14 earned runs.
My Pick to Click...even though he's kinda hurting from what I've read...Jim Thome
Jeeves chimes in from England and is going with...Paulie Konerko
Thanks again to Pander for a great read on last night's game. If you haven't checked it out, it's the post below this one. Also, new and old readers alike, get those Picks-to-Click in by posting them in the Comments section. If you're new, we'll add you to the sidebar on the right.

Obviously, we aren't in need of him, but has anyone else noticed Frank Thomas's statistical climb?
His average was around .235 on July 1st and it's almost .265 now. He's got 25 hr and 69 rbis with .382 obp and a .901 ops.
And what really matters is that he's helping Oakland win including 9 of 10.
And in a complete fit of irony, he could be our first round opponent.
Can you see Frank coming into the Cell for a playoff game? Wonder if it'll be boos or cheers then?
Gimme Goooch.
Pander, pick again! Dick already took that particular lefty...
As for Frank, I also am rooting for him. Aaron, too. But boy am I glad to have that big left bat with the .417 OBP in our quiver.
