Hope, Faith, Love and an Extra Inning Win: Game 111 thoughts
White Sox Win 6-5 in 11 innings!
-We here at ChiSox Blog are a dedicated bunch. We live and die with every error, strikeout, stolen base and home run . Our disappointment could be measured in our grandparents ages. In fact, before our World Series Championship in 2005, the last time the White Sox won a title my still living grandmother was exactly 2 years old. So when things go bad, after experiencing the joy of winning, expect some rascally behavior. We bitch because we love. If you happened to be a part of Cheat's threads last night, you would understand. We all knew the gravity of last night's game, and we all participated like the champs we are.
-Ah, Freddy, you're too sexy for your shirt, and had Ozzie not Macked us fans, we Sox fans might be talking about your quality start. As it stands, other than your propensity for giving up the home run, you weren't that bad. But you gave it up to the $25 million dollar deuchebag. So, no more rolling curve balls, okay?
-I "heart" Crede, I "heart" JD, I "heart" Paulie. Our clutch guys, our three favorite players, yeah, they came thru with a 2 homers, including a game tying homer off the greatest reliever in history, and a game winning rbi in the 11th inning.
-Oh my god, Bobby Jenks, after a few subpar performances, was the LONNNG reliever, despite Ozzie's need to use every other reliever for one or to at bats.
-Bad Ozzie Move of the Game: where do I start? Mack starting in center, playing pop-a-reliever, calling for 3 consecutive caught stealings.
-Good Ozzie Move of the Game: starting Alex Cintron and benching Uribe...2 out, 2 strike, 2 rbi atbat to take the lead in the second. Staying with Jenks for 2.2 innings. He's a bad boy.
-Yankees like their Wang jokes aside, they did many things better than the White Sox.
-Big Ups of the Game goes to Jenks, JD and Joe Crede. They are our most reliable players.
-And your White Sox Player of the Game...

Yeah, anytime a player hits a game tying homer off a future hall-of-famer in the 9th, you get my vote.
Sox Record: 66-45!

To quote Wade Garrett, "I'll get all the sleep I need when I'm dead."
Bring us home a winner while your at it.
Agreed, that was a HUGE win. Hopefully this will be the turning point this team needs heading into a brutal stretch of scheduling. I disagree that Ozzie's best move was starting Cintron, though. Uribe's sore back made that decision, not Ozzie.
BTW, I found your blog through Deadspin and like what I've read so far. Keep up the good work. Go Sox.
Thank you anonymous, kind words and new readers are always welcome.
