What Do You Do For An Encore? Game 142 Preview

Jon "Cy Young Hopeful" Garland (R, 16-4, 4.37) for the Heros
vs.
Fausto Carmona (R, 1-8, 5.76) for the Politically Incorrect Monikers of Cleveland
--------------------------------------------------------------------
So if ever there was a chance to start a streak, today's the day. The White Sox Ace is on the mound, and a lousy converted closer is on the mound from the bad guys. I had a joke about Fausto and selling his soul to the baseball devils, but it really really sucked, so I skipped it.

One more note: No Hawk Harrelson tonight. Black Jack McDowell will be filling in. I wonder how much dead air will be floating across WGN tonight.

My Pick to Click today...Joe Crede, the healthy one!

Jeeves is having his own problems with Blogger so he emailed me and asked post Gooch as his PtC. He originally wanted BA, but before I could post it, Fornelli bogarted it.

2 friggin' penalties took ND out of TD territory and they've had to settle for 2 FGs.
This is an ugly game.

9/09/2006 7:17 PM
Blogger jamesmnordbergjr said...

look at it like this...root for OSU so UM can beat an undefeated team later on this season...of course, UM will have one loss at that time, but it won't be in conference...ND will hurt UM next week

9/09/2006 7:18 PM
Blogger Jeeves said...

Yes, that would be good for ND, then you could pull those crazy comparisons between teams that didn't play eachother...ND beat Michigan, who beat OSU, so ND is better than OSU, OSU beat Texas, so ND is also better than Texas.
