Battle of the Sox, The Finale: Game 139 Preview

Jose Contreras 11-7, 4.23 for the ChiSox

vs.

Kyle Snyder 4-3, 5.94 for the BoSox

Another no name pitcher for the BoSox; thank God he's not a lefty, otherwise we'd be toast.
Our Sox badly need this win. If they lose, they get swept and I think half of their fans will be saddling up on the ledge to jump off.

I said at the start of the series, "The last thing we want to do is get swept and draw the BoSox back into the Wild Card race." I just hope that I don't prove to be prophetic.

My Pick to Click is Tadahito, the Emperor.
Fornelli is taking Pods, but really hoping that Sweeney will take his place.

Sweeney's playing CF, Pods in LF. So I'd like to pick the Irish lad. Sweeney.

Alrite! I thought we lost you saltwater.

Unfortunately, I won't be here for the chat. I'm going to a friend's to watch the game.

So, hopefully there will be some people on here chatting, if not, feel free to leave in game observations and thoughts.

I know, it's unbelievable! That's more runs today than the past two combined.

I don't want to leave the house, I don't want to be the cause of the Sox sucking again!

I get this feeling this might happen a few more times: two or three days of so-so hitting followed by one big-run day leading us to say maybe that's the game we needed to break out of our slump.

it is amazing that we're even lose right now, but all 3 Central teams are struggling. This must be what the AL East has been like in recent years, and then when the playoffs roll around, there's a letdown.

If it wasn't for DickDaStick, we would have swung and missed on Pick's to click.
