Garcia pitched a scoreless first for the Sox
Meche held the Sox scoreless.

Garcia pitched a perfect second.
Meche retired the side in order.

The Mariners went down 1-2-3 in the third.
Meche sat the Sox down in order.

Lopez was hit by a pitch to lead off the fourth. Ibanez singled. Ibanez and Lopez advanced on Sexson's swinging bunt to the catcher. Everett hit a sac fly, scoring Lopez. 1-0 Mariners.
Sox were held scoreless in their half of the inning.

The Mariners were retired in order in the fifth.
The Sox failed to score.

The sixth was scoreless.

The Mariners were scoreless in the seventh.
Thome led off with a walk. Konerko doubled, Thome to third. AJ was intentionally walked. Soriano came in relief. Crede hit a grand slam! 4-1 Sox.

Garcia gave up a leadoff double to Reed in the eighth. Johjima singled, scoring Reed. 4-2 Sox. Thornton came on in relief. Bloomquist hit a single. Ichiro grounded out, advancing Johjima and Bloomquist. Politte came on in relief. Lopez singled, scoring Johjima and Bloomquist. 4-4 Tied. Lopez advanced on the throw home. Ibanez was intentionally walked. Sexson grounded to Crede. He threw to second for the out, and Iguchi threw it away, scoring Lopez. 5-4 Mariners.
Sherill came on in relief with one out. Putz came on in relief with two outs.

Cotts came on in the ninth and held the Mariners scoreless.
Eddie Guardado came on for the save. With two out, Pablo Ozuna hit a solo shot to tie the game! 5-5 Tied.

Jenks came on in relief in the tenth with two outs and closed the inning.
Green came on in relief for the Marinersand recorded two out. Woods came on in relief.

The Mariners were held scoreless in the eleventh.
Ozuna hit a chopper two hopper up the middle and hustled around to second for a double. Uribe hit a short blooper and Pablo scored. 6-5 Sox

Sox win 6-5!
