Pablo the Pitcher

Here's something off of the White Sox website, it's from one of the writer's mailbags.

What do you think about Pablo Ozuna? I mean, he is the most versatile player on the Sox, and do you know if it's true that he was next up to pitch in the 14-inning World Series game against the Astros?? -- Mike, River Forest, Il.
According to Guillen, Ozuna was going to the mound if that game continued. And with what Ozuna has pulled off in the past couple of years, he probably would have thrown one or two scoreless innings.
Ozuna is one of the greatest symbols of the White Sox success and the good-natured, supercharged family feeling under Guillen's leadership. Ozuna always has a smile on his face, and he is the definition of a maximum-effort sort of player. With that said, was I the only one stunned by his game-tying home run off Eddie Guardado the other night?
It's not that Guardado is so dominant these days. But Ozuna had never hit a Major League home run. It's one of those moments you look back on and remember in a special sort of season. 11

Apparently Pablo is our emergency pitcher. I wonder if some day him and Rob Mackowiak will partner to form the battery. (Rob's out emergency catcher). As funny as that would be to see, I would never want to see that day come.
