If AJ is suspended, I'm going to riot!

I just want to say it. If AJ is suspended or even fined, I will be pissed off. I will lose what little respect I have for Bud Selig. Pierzynski got socked in the face and just backed off from the play. He didn't do ANYTHING. He absorbed the punch and stepped back.

NO SUSPENsion Counterpunch: Barrett suspended 10 games
New York, NY (Sports Network) - Chicago Cubs catcher Michael Barrett has been suspended 10 games and fined an undisclosed amount for inciting Saturday's bench-clearing brawl against the cross-town rival White Sox when he punched A.J. Pierzynski.

Pierzynski was only fined an undisclosed amount for his conduct. He legally plowed into Barrett during a play at the plate in the second inning of a 7-0 White Sox win. Barrett took exception to the play and punched Pierzynski in the face. Pierzynski did not retaliate.

Other members of the White Sox to be suspended were outfielder Brian Anderson and third base coach Joey Cora. Anderson was hit with a five-game suspension and Cora a two-game penalty. Both were also fined an undisclosed amount.

Anderson, who jumped into the fracas, punched Barrett and then tackled the Cubs' John Mabry, is expected to appeal. Cora's suspension will begin Friday night when the White Sox travel to Toronto to face Blue Jays.

Barrett is the only member of the Cubs to be hit with a suspension or a fine. He is appealing the suspension, which otherwise would begin Friday afternoon when the Cubs face the Atlanta Braves in Chicago.

At the time of incident, Barrett, Pierzynski, Anderson and Mabry were the only players ejected.
