Game 129 Preview

Johan Santana 15-5, 3.03 for the Twinks

vs.

Jose Contreras 11-6, 4.04 for the third place White Sox

The Sox lost a real tough one yesterday. I'm just praying they take it as a wake up call and aren't completely demoralized. They've gotta go at the Twins strong and hope they get to Santana. I don't want to have to go into Sunday with the prospect of getting swept.

Please Jose, show some early season form. Just this once!

Against the Sox this season, Santana is 3-1 with a 2.25 ERA.

My pick to click will be made closer to game time, once I see the lineups.
Fornelli picked Crede.

Readers, make those picks here!

One of my fantasy football drafts is tonight, so I'm not sure how much of the game I'll see tonight.

But I'm going with JD tonight, and karma as the Sox couterpart.

Jeeves, I'll have a Bile File preview as a draft in the post list later on tonight. I'll leave it there so your recap will not get bumped too quickly, and I'll post it in the morning

We should start a ChiSox blog Fantasy Football league cuz I'm only in 5 already, and you can never have enough.

Can't do it, Fornelli. I turned down offers to 3 others cuz I'm already in 3 myself. I hate rooting for and against my players at the same time.

Actually, at Windy City Gridiron.com, we have 9 players and a phantom team to make for an even amount. If you wanna take that team over, you're more than welcome. Our draft is in an hour (5:30 PM), btw. But you can get it done between now and then.

That was the quickest ff draft I've ever done...we were finished in under an hour. (10 teams & online, maybe that's why.)

So I get to see the whole game with the half hour rain delay.

Go Sox!

Sorry guys, I'm going to have to miss out on the banter today. I'm going to my friend's for the game.

I might chime in periodically.

Fantastic. I didn't even get to leave the house and they score.

Terrible read by Mack, and that had to be the worst slide ever by White.

I thought you said you were going to leave Brian alone.

Where, O where, has our B-A gone?
Where, O where, can he be?
Where, O where, has our Ozzie's head gone?
Up his own hiney, you see.

Gardening-tool is the man!
Think the pirhanas walked around the infield and shallow outfield and said I'm gonna get a hit here and here and here and here?
Maybe Santana is getting cold.

Wait, we have a McCarthy sighting.

Sox RBI's tonight (thru 6)...
Mack, Ross and Crusty
I'd normally say Ozzie's a genius, but Gload has to play with Thome down, Mack owes the team 3 runs for two bad plays in CF, and Crusty choked with men on 2nd and 3rd earlier in the game.

OH, and if Brian Anderson isn't starting every game, and if Brandon McCarthy doesn't start every 5th somehow, I think we'll all know EXACTLY where our season went wrong should we miss the playoffs.

Rob Mackowiak costs games :(

Ozzie Guillen continuing to start Mack in CF costs games.
Ozzie's noble attempts to keep his players happy is hurting the team.
