Jose Contreras just signed a contact extension. He makes $8 million this year, and he will make $9 million in 2007 and $10 million in 2008 and 2009.
With this extension, the Sox have all their starters locked up through the 2007 season.

It's been widely speculated that the Sox will trade Contreras this year; the fact that his contract isn't up at the end of the year, makes him a more attractive target to other teams.
